Ontario Mental Health Partnership Moves Forward with MEDITECH Expanse EHR

Three Canadian hospitals that formed the first mental health partnership in Ontario are moving forward with Expanse, MEDITECH’s web-based, mobile platform.

Three Canadian hospitals that originally came together to form the first mental health partnership in Ontario are moving forward with Expanse, MEDITECH’s web-based, mobile platform.

The Ontario Mental Health Partnership - which includes Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences, Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care, and The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre - shares a single MEDITECH EHR to streamline mental health care delivery and promote positive outcomes for patients. The move to Expanse will enable the collaborative to further implement standardization across mental health care delivery, including evidence-based clinical practice guidelines to achieve best practices.

According to a recent article in Canadian Healthcare Technology, the hospitals are also looking to Expanse to help improve efforts around ambulatory care, population health, patient engagement, and the use of virtual visits for easier access to care.
