The MEDITECH UK and Ireland team was at the heart of the action, where the focus was firmly on Expanse, the intelligent EPR. Throughout the two-day event, we showcased how Expanse is doing more than just storing data — it is actively reshaping the clinician experience.

March 31, 2026 — 

Hendry Regional Medical Center, a critical access hospital in rural Hendry County, has signed for the MEDITECH Expanse EHR to replace four disparate legacy systems and unify patient information into a single patient record. 

March 26, 2026 — 

Parrish Healthcare in Titusville, FL, recently announced a major step in its digital evolution by signing for MEDITECH Expanse, which will unite Parrish Medical Center and its ambulatory clinics on a single, integrated Electronic Health Record. The not-for-profit community hospital and care network will look to MEDITECH Expanse to help support sustainable, comprehensive care across its local community.

MEDITECH Asia Pacific joined over 10,000 healthcare professionals at Australian Healthcare Week and the inaugural Healthcare 2040 Expo, the largest and most influential health event in the Southern Hemisphere to showcase the future of integrated care.

Becker’s Hospital Review recognizes several MEDITECH customers for their strategic leadership, innovation, and role in advancing care. The healthcare leaders were all named to Becker’s Hospital Review lists as part of the leading healthcare outlet’s annual program and included: Hospital and Health System CIOs to Know, Critical Access Hospital Presidents and CEOs to Know, and CNOs to Know.

MEDITECH will showcase its latest interoperability advancements and strategies alongside industry and customer thought leaders at its HIMSS Booth (#5031), as well as at the Interop+ Smart Experience Pavilion (MEDITECH Booth #12623) and Pavilion Smart Theater.

February 23, 2026 — 

Facing a challenging market defined by financial strain and rising consolidations, independent-minded rural health systems have bucked the trend by turning to MEDITECH Expanse to preserve the autonomy needed to support their communities. Fifteen rural hospitals opted for MEDITECH Expanse in 2025, joining an expanding group of over 250 rural sites operating the web- and cloud-native platform.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of MEDITECH Founder and Chairman, A. Neil Pappalardo, on January 27, 2026 at the age of 83. After founding the company on August 4, 1969, Mr. Pappalardo remained a guiding force and driving inspiration until his passing, establishing a legacy that spans over five decades.
