On August 6th, the Aga Khan University in Nairobi hosted DataFest Africa 2026. Framed as a community baraza under the theme Kujenga Na Data | Building with Data, the gathering brought together researchers, technology innovators, policymakers, and industry experts to address critical questions surrounding ethical innovation, local context, and community-centered data systems.

Becker's Hospital Review's 2026 lists of "Women in Health IT to Know" and "Women Hospital and Health System Presidents and CEOs to Know” include several MEDITECH customers. The federal $50 billion Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) is a vital financial lifeline for rural healthcare organizations, but securing these state-distributed awards from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) often involves a complex application process requiring baseline statistics and evidence-based clinical strategies. To ease this burden, MEDITECH launched its RHTP Resource Center.
