March 3, 2026 — 

Farhana Alarakhiya, Chief Data Innovation Officer at The Aga Khan University in Nairobi, Kenya, has been named a recipient of the 2026 HIMSS Changemaker in Health Award in the category of Global Patient Innovator.

March 2, 2026 — 

MEDITECH will showcase its latest interoperability advancements and strategies alongside industry and customer thought leaders at its HIMSS Booth (#5031), as well as at the Interop+ Smart Experience Pavilion (MEDITECH Booth #12623) and Pavilion Smart Theater.

February 23, 2026 — 

Facing a challenging market defined by financial strain and rising consolidations, independent-minded rural health systems have bucked the trend by turning to MEDITECH Expanse to preserve the autonomy needed to support their communities. Fifteen rural hospitals opted for MEDITECH Expanse in 2025, joining an expanding group of over 250 rural sites operating the web- and cloud-native platform.

February 17, 2026 — 

Congratulations to Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (Whitby, Ontario) on winning the 2025 HIMSS Davies Award. This marks the second time the organization has won the prestigious award.

MEDITECH Expanse has once again achieved KLAS’s top honors, earning 2026 Best in KLAS recognition in the global research firm’s “2026 Best in KLAS: Software & Services Report.” This marks the 12th consecutive year of Best in KLAS recognition across Best in KLAS reports, including the Best in KLAS: Software & Services Report and the Best in KLAS Awards: Global Software Report. This recognition reflects the company’s sustained commitment to customer satisfaction and partnership.

January 30, 2026 — 

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of MEDITECH Founder and Chairman, A. Neil Pappalardo, on January 27, 2026 at the age of 83. After founding the company on August 4, 1969, Mr. Pappalardo remained a guiding force and driving inspiration until his passing, establishing a legacy that spans over five decades.
