This year’s Canadian Patient Safety Week (October 26 - 30) focuses on the role virtual care plays in helping keep patients safe and connected, even in the age of COVID-19.With the theme, Virtual Care is New to Most of Us, the Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI) is encouraging conversations on how to make the most out of virtual care appointments.
According to a recent article in Canadian Healthcare Technology, a poll by the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) indicates that Canadians are embracing virtual care options and would like to see those options improved and expanded in the future.
With MEDITECH’s Virtual Visits, clinicians can continue to serve the health needs of their communities, while protecting patients and staff from virus spread. Since the pandemic began, healthcare organizations such as Markham Stouffville Hospital (Markham, Ontario) have used our solution to provide their patients with over 2.1 million minutes of virtual care.
