Emanate Health advances COVID-19 contact tracing with MEDITECH
Emanate Health collaborates with MEDITECH Professional Services to identify patients and staff at high risk for COVID-19 exposure.
As instances of COVID-19 within the San Gabriel Valley community began to rise in 2020, contact tracing was essential to quickly identify potential exposures between staff and patients and minimize disease spread.
Collaborating with MEDITECH Professional Services, Emanate Health was able to develop contact tracing dashboards in their MEDITECH Expanse EHR. This helped them to identify patients and staff at high risk for COVID-19 exposure, following an inpatient’s positive test result. The organization was also able to evaluate the risk to roommates during exposure windows — a huge challenge for many other hospitals.
