Holland Bloorview CEO along with pediatrician win most powerful leadership awards

Please join us in congratulating Julia Hanigsberg, President & CEO of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto, for recently being named one of Canada’s most powerful CEOs by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN). Holland Bloorview’s Dr. Paige Church, a developmental pediatrician, was also chosen as one of Canada’s 100 most powerful women. 

Holland Bloorview is Canada's largest children's rehabilitation hospital, serving children living with a disability, medical complexity, illness, or injury. The hospital provides both inpatient and outpatient services, as well as a mix of services not offered anywhere else in Ontario.

Ms. Hanigsberg has led the children’s research hospital since 2015, implementing innovative solutions that meet the challenges of a pediatric rehabilitation hospital specializing in complex care. Since then, in response to the often complicated and disconnected system of pediatric healthcare, she joined with the leaders of two other well-known pediatric hospitals to support knowledge sharing and improved care coordination. That network has now grown to include six community hospitals.

Dr. Church was recognized in a category that celebrates women who are professionals in practice and play a leadership role within their respective organizations. Learn more about who inspires her, and how her life has changed since publicly revealing her spina bifida diagnosis in 2017.
