MEDITECH’s Patient and Consumer Health Portal now includes vaccine eligibility checking as part of its Direct Appointment Booking feature, improving convenience for your patients and reducing phone calls to your office staff.

This enhancement allows your patients to check their eligibility when they book and register for COVID-19 vaccination appointments. The Direct Appointment Booking feature continues to offer patients the ability to self-schedule and view real-time appointment availability.

Onboarding capabilities for new patients

In addition to vaccine eligibility checking, the portal offers patient onboarding capabilities that allow anyone to schedule an appointment, even if the individual doesn’t have a medical record at the healthcare organization.

These two enhancements round out MEDITECH’s efforts to expand your digital front door, bringing both efficiency and convenience to pre-planning visits and vaccination roll-out efforts through:

  • Onboarding capability for new patients.

  • Direct Appointment Booking including vaccine eligibility checking.

  • Appointment requests.

  • Online preregistration.

  • Pre-visit questionnaires.

  • Portal email reminders and mass emails.

  • COVID-19 vaccine certificate, which is accessible from the portal.
