MEDITECH shares COVID-19 vaccine guidance
MEDITECH provides guidance in preparation for new COVID-19 immunizations.
As the CDC works with stakeholders to prepare for the release of a COVID-19 vaccine, MEDITECH is sharing guidance to help make healthcare organizations aware of what steps they can take to be ready for administering them when they become available.
These preparations include performing Formulary Service Vendor (FSV) updates for drug data availability or, if necessary, manually setting up supporting drug dictionaries. MEDITECH also provides guides for creating new immunizations to ensure administered vaccines are accurately recorded in the EHR and can be sent to your state's Immunization Information System (IIS) interface.
