MEDITECH Observes National Recovery Month

As we kick off National Recovery Month, a time to raise awareness of substance use issues, most states are still imposing coronavirus restrictions.

As we kick off September and National Recovery Month, a time to increase awareness of mental health and substance use issues, most states are still imposing coronavirus restrictions. Although these constraints are helping to curb flare-ups of COVID-19, social distancing and isolation are negatively affecting our psyches; 40 percent of US adults recently reported struggling with mental health and substance use issues.

MEDITECH is helping our customers to confront these challenges with our Opioid Stewardship and Depression Screening and Suicide Prevention Toolkits. Designed using Expanse technology, these evidence-based toolkits, aligned with leading guidance, help care teams to identify those who may be a risk. Components include advanced clinical decision support, real-time surveillance, and registry patient monitoring. Toolkits are available in two customer support models, self-service and MEDITECH’s Specialty Professional Services.
