King's Daughters Medical Center Reduces ED LOS by One Hour with Expanse

King’s Daughters Medical Center (Brookhaven, MS) takes great pride in providing a positive experience for their patients and community. So when they saw an opportunity to reduce their ED wait times, they were all in. 

Led by their new ED director Stephen Brown, DO, they set out to shift their ED’s culture to mobile, tablet-based workflows using MEDITECH’s Expanse ED solution.

Since going LIVE, they have reduced their ED Length of Stay by one hour, while also improving the quality of interactions with patients. Physicians can now bring their tablets to the bedside to walk patients through their x-rays, vitals, and lab results so they gain a better understanding of their conditions.
