Ozarks Healthcare CMIO Priscilla Frase, MD has been named a recipient of the 2024 HIMSS Changemaker in Health Award in the category of HIMSS Senior Executive. This award recognizes healthcare leaders who demonstrate a steadfast commitment to innovation and inspire creativity by harnessing the power of information and technology, ultimately leading to significant improvements in care.
As CMIO, Dr. Frase plays a transformative role in many clinical successes at Ozarks. She has introduced digital processes that efficiently bring its unique programs and specialty-focused areas onto the hospital’s Expanse EHR platform. This includes the organization’s behavioral program, and its new Crisis Stabilization Center.
The Changemaker award also speaks to Dr. Frase’s ability to bring key stakeholders together to build a foundation strong enough to bridge the gap between people and their technology. She consistently seeks out ways to deploy information technology that brings clinicians closer to their patients, without overburdening them.
“My primary goal has always been to make technology better and more accessible for everyone who uses it,” said Dr. Frase. “Being a bridge between clinicians, staff and IT, it’s the collaboration that continues to inspire me. It gives me a sense of pride, knowing that I can do what I do and be a small part of something that really helps people working in healthcare.”
Catch Dr. Frase at this year’s ViVE and HIMSS conferences, where she will participate in panel discussions along with other senior executive leaders.
