MEDITECH Marketing Director Rachel Wilkes was highlighted as one of Becker’s Healthcare's 2024 Health IT and Revenue Cycle Up-and-Comers. As part of its annual list program, Becker’s Healthcare selected Wilkes as one of 44 health IT and revenue cycle executives who have taken on leadership positions that impact organizational development, finances, and care delivery. The individuals are recognized as trailblazers who are “unafraid to think outside the box” and whose “innovative ideas are influencing hospitals, health systems and healthcare companies across the U.S. With a solid grasp on healthcare's current state, they are guiding their organizations' future growth.”
Wilkes was spotlighted for her pivotal role in transitioning MEDITECH to a product-led mindset and establishing strategic roadmaps that align customer needs with future market demands. She is also the executive sponsor of the company’s generative AI initiatives and is a strong advocate for data analytics and population health management.
Throughout her career at the company, Wilkes has shaped strategies for analytics, patient engagement, revenue cycle, and financial solutions. In addition to her AI role, Wilkes also oversees MEDITECH’s corporate communications, branding, digital marketing, events, and market research.
“I’m honored to be recognized along with this impressive group of leaders,” said Wilkes. “The opportunities to advance healthcare are limitless, and it is exciting to be a part of this evolution. From integrating AI in our Expanse EHR to establishing a new interoperability network, MEDITECH is making a positive impact in healthcare for patients, providers, and healthcare systems.”
Becker’s Healthcare's list of 2024 Health IT and Revenue Cycle Up-and-Comers also highlighted King’s Daughters Medical Center’s (Brookhaven, MS) Director of Information Systems Joe Farr, BSN, RN. A registered nurse by training with experience in healthcare technology and clinical leadership, Farr was recently promoted to director of information systems.
