Klickitat Valley Health CEO Jonathan Hatfield was featured in a This Week Health TownHall podcast, where he shared the drivers that led them to market for a new EHR and details about the selection process.
Hatfield shares the rural healthcare organization’s desire to move from multiple systems to a consolidated platform. “We came to the table for safety, quality, and efficiency reasons,” he says. “As a result of reviewing KLAS reports, going out and doing site visits, and then our own demonstrations, we had unanimous consent in the selection of MEDITECH Expanse as the next EHR vendor for Klickitat Valley Health."
Hatfield discusses the impactful, key benefits that Klickitat has experienced since moving to Expanse, including improvements to safety, efficiency, physician satisfaction, and patient satisfaction. He also stressed the importance of maintaining autonomy by using MEDITECH’s MaaS cloud-based subscription model, which shortened their implementation timeframe and offered a more affordable option. Hatfield also shares what he is looking forward to in the future of healthcare technology.
