KLAS: MEDITECH receives consistently high ratings for making EMR personalization tools available

February 18, 2021 — KLAS Research and the Arch Collaborative gave MEDITECH high marks for clinician satisfaction with EHR personalization in their 2021 Large Ambulatory EMR Report. KLAS analyzed feedback from more than 180,000 physicians and nurses in large ambulatory organizations (75 or more physicians) about their practices' EHR customization capabilities.

While data for MEDITECH, NextGen, and eClinicalWorks was limited, MEDITECH received an 8.4 on a 9-point scale. Here’s how the top vendors fared:

“MEDITECH receives consistently high ratings for making EMR personalization tools available,” KLAS reported. “Respondents say MEDITECH has stepped up in recent years, leading to a much-improved end-user experience with personalization tools.”

EHR personalization has been directly correlated with clinician satisfaction and efficiency, and it was a guiding principle in the development of Expanse from the start. Today, the ability to “make my EHR my own” is something clinicians routinely cite as a favorite feature of Expanse.

In addition to high marks from clinicians for Expanse’s personalization, MEDITECH scored highly for quality of training (7.5) as well as support for patient-centered care (7.9).

The strong results come on the heels of MEDITECH’s breakout performance in the 2021 Best in KLAS: Software & Services report, which rated MEDITECH #1 in three categories, a top performer in several others, and a close second in Overall Software Suite Rankings.
