MEDITECH is pleased to congratulate Chief Transformation and Digital Officer Kate Warriner of the Alder Hey Children’s NHS Trust (Liverpool, England) for recently being named one of the UK’s top ten IT leaders by the CIO 100. This makes her the highest-ranked CIO within the NHS and the only woman in the top 10.
Recognised for being a leader in healthcare innovation and technology, Warriner leads a multidisciplinary team at one of Europe’s biggest and busiest children’s hospitals. Under her IT leadership, Alder Hey continues to be recognised as a world leader in children’s healthcare and research, treating everything from common illnesses to highly complex conditions.
In the hospital’s announcement, Warriner dedicated the award to her staff. “I dedicate this award to our iDigital, clinical and operational staff who do amazing work each and every day. It is a real privilege for our work to be recognised and celebrated in such a prestigious award. Our digital team and work makes a difference each and every day to the care our children and young people receive from Alder Hey. I look forward to seeing what we achieve next through our Vision 2030 ambitions.”
This is the third consecutive year Warriner has made the top 100 list.
MEDITECH is proud of its long-term partnership with Alder Hey and its many digital achievements. Most recently, Warriner and her team recently achieved a critical milestone in Alder Hey’s digital strategy when it went live with MEDITECH Expanse. The web-based Electronic Patient Record (EPR) shares real-time updates among care providers and provides them with a comprehensive view of a patient’s current and historical health records, enabling safer, more connected and efficient care.
