MEDITECH was one of only three EHR vendors to participate in a recent webinar on COVID-19 hospital data reporting, hosted by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. Hospitals across the country attended the educational session, which covered vendors’ solutions for data submission and new reporting requirements.
Senior Manager Rob Sagerian, who represented MEDITECH in the webinar, demonstrated MEDITECH’s solution for submitting data to TeleTrackingTM, the US Healthcare COVID-19 Portal.
“MEDITECH’s SQL report automates the process for collecting and submitting COVID-19 data,” said Sagerian. “The report extracts data from the EHR and generates a CSV file in the Unified Template format for submission to TeleTracking.”
Sagerian noted that MEDITECH has added new data elements to our reporting capabilities, ensuring our customers are able to comply with CMS regulatory requirements for daily influenza data reporting (now mandatory) and therapeutics reporting (effective January 8, 2021).
In addition, MEDITECH is incorporating PPE data elements to our reporting capabilities, enabling hospitals to calculate the burn rate.
"We’re looking for a few hospitals to partner with, to test and validate current and future automation of the SQL report,” said Sagerian. “If you’re interested in partnering with us, please contact your MEDITECH account manager."
