Bristol Health President and CEO to speak at 2024 AHA Leadership Summit

Kurt Barwis, FACHE, Bristol Health President and CEO, will speak at the 2024 AHA Leadership Summit and will also be a featured speaker at September's MEDITECH LIVE leadership event.

 |

After more than 600 mass shootings in the U.S. since 2020, mass violence is a public health crisis, forcing hospitals and health systems to always be at the ready.

During this year’s AHA Leadership Summit, Bristol Health President and CEO Kurt Barwis, FACHE, will join other healthcare executives and law enforcement officials to discuss improving community preparedness and strengthening the response to mass casualty events and targeted violence. Participants will learn to identify and address the immediate and long-term needs of mass violence victims, impacted communities, and the healthcare professionals who respond to these catastrophic crimes.

Their session, Mass and Targeted Violence: Strategies for Readiness, Response, and Resilience, will take place on Monday, July 22, at 4 p.m. during the “Building a More Flexible and Sustainable Workforce” Transformation Track.

Continue the conversation with Mr. Barwis during MEDITECH LIVE, where he will be a featured speaker. During his session, he’ll share insights on the harm of the prior authorization process and the burden that has shifted to hospitals and physicians. Barwis will share strategies for leveraging data analytics to fight for delayed and denied payments. Be a part of the discussion on September 25-27 at our Foxborough, MA, conference center.
