Congratulations to MEDITECH customer Sunderland Royal Hospital, of South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust (Sunderland, UK), for earning the prestigious Stage 7 recognition from the Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS), the only hospital in the North of England to have earned this distinction.

Alder Hey Children’s Hospital (Liverpool, UK) recently went LIVE with a new emergency department solution integrated into its MEDITECH Electronic Patient Record (EPR), enabling direct appointment scheduling from NHS 111, NHS 111 Online, and various national services.

To enhance patient care, MEDITECH customer South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust recently expanded patient data sharing, enabling providers access to healthcare records from other parts of the region.  It is the third trust to begin sharing data through the Great North Care Programme.
