Our Hiring Process

MEDITECH believes that healthcare organizations can best serve their communities by providing open access to clinical knowledge and data through our EHR. This commitment to transparency guides our recruiting efforts as well. We aim to better serve our talent community with an honest and open hiring process.

Here are some of the steps you can expect when applying for a role at MEDITECH. The process will vary slightly depending on the role and location for which you’re applying.

1. Apply Online

Every resume is reviewed by a real person — not by software. If your resume catches our attention, one of our Recruiters will reach out by email, phone, or text to schedule an initial conversation. Once you apply, our recruitment system will send an automated confirmation. Because these are system-generated, they occasionally land in spam or junk folders. To ensure you don't miss an update, please add our domain to your safe-senders list and check your folders periodically.

2. Recruiter Interview

A Recruiter will discuss job requirements and ask you questions about your skill set, interest in MEDITECH, the role applied for, your work history, and availability. The Recruiter will also review that we have your most up to date application documents — such as your resume, education verification, and reference contact information.

3. Assessment tools

Assessments can vary by role, and are used to help us better understand and evaluate a variety of skill sets such as your technical, organizational, and communication skills. For example, technical roles may involve a brief online assessment or coding challenge, while roles in Sales & Marketing, Customer Training, and Support may require preparing a presentation.

4. Hiring Team Interview

This interview is typically with a panel of individuals, which usually includes the supervisor you would report to if hired, as well as other members of the management team. This interview can be on-site or virtual. Having your web camera turned on is a best practice expectation for virtual interviews at MEDITECH. Occasionally, a second interview is requested by the hiring team after this interview.

5. Decision

Once interviews are completed and a top candidate has been identified, a Recruiter will call you to review the job offer. When reviewing the job offer, we encourage you to consider our MEDITECH’s Benefits offerings. References, education verification, and the successful completion of a background check must be completed before starting employment at MEDITECH.
