MEDITECH recognized as Google Cloud Partner of the Year

MEDITECH Wins a 2026 Google Cloud Partner of the Year Award

The EHR vendor was recognized in the Business Applications: Healthcare & Life Sciences category for using AI to positively impact staff workflows.

MEDITECH is proud to announce that it has received the 2026 Google Cloud Partner of the Year award in the Business Applications: Healthcare & Life Sciences category for its advanced implementation of AI into the company’s staff workflows.

“The Google Cloud Partner Awards honor the strategic innovation and measurable value our partners bring to customers,” said Google Cloud's President of Global Partner Ecosystem and Channels Kevin Ichhpurani. “We are proud to name MEDITECH a 2026 Google Cloud Partner Award winner, celebrating their role in driving customer success over the last year.”

MEDITECH launched a comprehensive AI Enablement Initiative to accelerate internal adoption of Gemini for Workspace, NotebookLM, and Google Vids. "Our intention was to get everyone using AI to improve efficiency while also reducing cognitive load and enhancing job satisfaction," said MEDITECH Manager of Corporate Technologies and Project Lead Kimberly Hansen. "By eliminating 'administrative drag,' our staff can focus less on manual tasks and more on strategic efforts that benefit our products and our customers."

All staff were invited to foundational training, which established a baseline for responsible AI use. By leveraging tools within MEDITECH’s Google Workspace Enterprise license, the company can ensure all activity meets robust enterprise-grade data privacy and security standards.

The outreach team engaged directly with various departments to identify high-friction, time-consuming tasks. By applying AI-focused solutions to these specific pain points, teams successfully transformed workflows that previously took hours into processes completed in mere minutes.

The results of the initiative have been immediate and measurable, not only for improving internal processes but also in elevating support for MEDITECH’s health system customers. For example, Hansen noted that “AI tools have significantly enhanced our regulatory team’s ability to navigate complex and expansive state and federal requirements. By streamlining the review of dense legislative and regulatory materials, these tools enable us to identify and communicate key requirements and timelines to our customers more quickly and accurately.”

Similarly, she highlights how user experience researchers are using NotebookLM to ask better questions, as well as to find answers faster. By accelerating the research and prototyping phases, they can transform complex healthcare workflows into seamless mobile experiences that empower providers in real time.

“We’re innovating faster and solving problems faster,” said Hansen. “These internal AI tools have helped us to gain efficiencies, cultivate best practices for infusing AI into workflows, and refine governance processes. And everything we’ve learned, we are also applying to our customer-facing solutions. It’s beneficial for us, as well as for the healthcare organizations we serve.”
