Expanse Point of Care, a feature of MEDITECH's Expanse Patient Care nursing solution, enables nurses to efficiently document care at the bedside using a smartphone. With a single device, nurses can document, scan patient wristbands to access charts, administer medications, capture wound images, and scan smart pumps to send order details and receive infusion data.
Solutions also include patient engagement tools like the Patient and Consumer Health Portal and Expanse Patient Connect. The Patient and Consumer Health Portal offers patients and families a convenient way to manage their healthcare information and stay connected with their providers. Through this single portal, patients can access their health records, schedule appointments, request prescription renewals, participate in virtual visits, check-in for appointments, pay bills, track their health data, and securely communicate with their physicians.
Expanse Patient Connect provides patients with timely two-way communication about appointments through their smartphones. Using familiar technology, patients can receive appointment reminders and other notifications, as well as confirm appointments via text. No apps or internet access are required to respond. Patients can also quickly launch into the patient portal to complete pre-visit forms. Expanse Patient Connect uses sentiment analysis and natural language understanding to intelligently route patient responses to the appropriate staff and automatically updates the Expanse EHR, enabling schedulers to identify cancellations sooner and fill open slots.
