Jim Merlin brings his strong financial background and MEDITECH experience to the role of Chief Accounting Officer. His responsibilities involve overseeing MEDITECH’s financial health--including all aspects of the company’s accounting practices, working with our external auditors, and navigating the financial impact of upcoming accounting and regulatory changes.
Jim began his career with MEDITECH in 1986 as a financial product demonstrator, gaining experience in a variety of divisions before transferring to the Accounting group in 2004. With his promotion to Controller in 2011, Jim expanded his responsibility for managing the operational side of Accounting--leveraging his deep knowledge of accounting regulations, along with his experience of how financial decisions impact all company divisions. Since then, he has been a key contributor in guiding MEDITECH’s financial future.
Jim graduated from Babson College with a Bachelor of Science degree. He and his wife Patti have two children, Emily and Sean.
