Julia Hanigsberg, President & CEO of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto, was recently named among Canada’s most powerful CEOs of 2021 by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN). This is Ms. Hanigsberg’s fourth appearance on the list, making her an inductee into the Women’s Executive Network’s Hall of Fame.
Holland Bloorview is the largest children's rehabilitation hospital in Canada, serving children living with a disability, medical complexity, illness, or injury. The hospital provides both inpatient and outpatient services, as well as a mix of services not offered anywhere else in Ontario.
Hanigsberg continues to initiate a number of projects that expand the hospital’s offerings and accessibility, implementing innovative solutions that meet the unique challenges of a pediatric rehabilitation hospital specializing in complex care. She also aims to improve the hospital's efforts around diversity and inclusion, working with staff to develop and roll out an organizational plan to help ensure cultural and racial equality, both at and beyond Holland Bloorview.
“Julia has been remarkable, guiding Holland Bloorview through what has been one of the most challenging times in healthcare,” said MEDITECH Executive Vice President Helen Waters. “She continues to lead transformational change for staff, patients, and their families, and we congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition.”
