Gillian Sweeney receives Digital Health CHIA Award for leading Newfoundland and Labrador's EHR adoption
Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information Vice President Gillian Sweeney recently received the 2020 Leadership in Digital Health CHIA Award.
MEDITECH wishes to congratulate Gillian Sweeney, Vice President of Clinical Information Programs & Change Leadership for the Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information (St. John's, NL) who recently received the 2020 Leadership in Digital Health CHIA Award. This distinction recognizes outstanding contributions to advance digital health or virtual health in Canada.
Under Ms. Sweeney’s direction, the Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information (NLCHI) developed and implemented the provincial electronic health record (EHR), HEALTHe NL. This secure health information sharing network is used by the province’s health care providers to better coordinate care for patients and their families.
