MEDITECH travels across the globe to close out 2023

MEDITECH teams closed out the year by journeying to the corners of the globe from Vancouver to Ireland, with several stops in between. Throughout their travels, teams met with several health leaders, MEDITECH customers, and national leaders to discuss strategies for addressing the most pressing issues in healthcare today and prepare for the future.

Canada Health Infoway Partnership Conference

MEDITECH was a proud sponsor of the Canada Health Infoway Partnership Conferencein Vancouver, British Columbia. The conference is an excellent opportunity to share strategies and successes and to celebrate the many ways digital health is positively impacting the lives of Canadians

CHIME Fall Forum

MEDITECH proudly participated in the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) Fall Forum in Phoenix, Arizona, where teams engaged with digital health leaders and celebrated those customer organizations who achieved 2023 Digital Health Most Wired recognition. 

During the event, MEDITECH Vice Chairman and former CEO Howard Messing was awarded the CHIME Foundation Industry Leader Award. The award is a testament to Howard’s unwavering commitment to the EHR industry and his lasting impact on healthcare. 

In addition, MEDITECH customer Signature Healthcare (Brockton, MA) won the Collaboration Award alongside ELLKAY, for facilitating their recovery from a 10-alarm fire earlier this year.

MEDITECH Director of Marketing Rachel Wilkes, MBA, CPM, and Senior Analyst of Market Research Alex Brinkert, RN, MPH led a well-attended focus group titled The Innovative Application of AI in the EHR to Increase Efficiencies, highlighting potential applications of AI to address challenges in healthcare.

Private Hospitals Association Annual Conference

MEDITECH Executive Vice President & COO Helen Waters traveled to the Barberstown Castle in Dublin, Ireland, along with Charlotte Scott Executive General Manager, MEDITECH UK and Ireland, and others to attend the Private Hospitals Association Annual Conference. During the conference, Helen presented on the building blocks that are essential to creating an impactful digital health experience for patients, clinicians, and health systems, along with key technology solutions that are the future of healthcare. 

MEDITECH customers who presented at the conference included Dr. Caroline Whelan, CEO, Blackrock Health, who led a session on innovation, and Bill Maher, CEO, Bon Secours Health System Ireland, who led a discussion on integration. 

Regional Events

MEDITECH also hosted regional events in Oklahoma, Texas, Wisconsin, and Minnesota to share updates and strategies for Revenue Cycle, Patient Engagement, AI-based solutions, mobility with MEDITECH apps, interoperability, and evidence-based toolkits. Several MEDITECH customers also participated in conference discussions and panels.
