MEDITECH South Africa was proud to be a Gold Sponsor and exhibitor at the Namibia Association for Medical Laboratory Sciences (NAMLS) 2025 Scientific Congress, held from April 10 -11, in Windhoek, Namibia.

This year’s theme, “Fostering a Collaborative Network to Transform Laboratory Medicine,” closely aligned with our ongoing commitment to innovation, integration, and connectivity in healthcare. The event provided an excellent platform to engage with laboratory professionals, industry leaders, and partners who are shaping the future of laboratory medicine.

Throughout the congress, attendees experienced interactive demos of our solutions and saw firsthand how MEDITECH’s technology is helping laboratories improve efficiencyaccuracy, and patient care. Our presence reinforced our dedication to supporting the evolving needs of the laboratory environment with robust and scalable digital solutions.

One of the highlights of the event was a presentation by Vevanderan Govender (MBA), Senior Application Specialist at MEDITECH South Africa. Vevanderan spoke on the topic: “The Future of Medicine Means Creating the Path to Precision – Expanse Genomics.”  With his deep expertise in Laboratory Information Systems and healthcare IT, Vevandaran provided valuable insights into how genomics and digital transformation are revolutionising precision medicine.

We were also delighted to connect with our valued client, Namibia Institute of Pathology Limited (NIP), and to welcome esteemed guests including NIP’s CEO Ms. Kapena Tjombonde and Namibia’s new Minister of Health and Social Services, Dr. Esperance Luvindao.

Managing Director of MEDITECH South Africa Dr. Sushanth Pillai shared his thoughts on the event. “NAMLS 2025 was a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate how digital health and collaboration can transform laboratory medicine across Africa. At MEDITECH, we are proud to support innovation that empowers healthcare professionals and improves outcomes for patients," he said.

MEDITECH South Africa is proud to have supported NAMLS 2025 and remains committed to advancing laboratory medicine across the region. We look forward to continued collaboration and innovation in shaping the future of healthcare.
