MEDITECH Chief Nursing Executive Cathy Turner leads presentations at ANIA and AONL

Turner’s closing keynote reflects on how nurses can apply AI to enhance the care experience

MEDITECH’s Chief Nursing Executive, Cathy Turner, BSN, MBA, RN-BC, will take the stage this March at two prominent nurse conferences to reflect on the role of advanced technologies like AI to improve efficiencies, provide actionable insights, and enhance the care experience for everyone.

Turner will present the closing keynote at the 2026 ANIA Annual Conference in Boston, MA (as well as livestreamed) on Saturday, March 28. Her presentation, “Executive-Level Reflections: Smart Tech, Stronger Nursing,” will explore how evolving technology helps nurses reclaim their time and gain insight amidst growing pressures. Throughout her keynote, she will outline emerging tech trends, assess their impact on nursing, and provide strategies for health systems to meaningfully leverage these tools within their EHR workflows to support their workforce.

“Nurses are facing so many pressures today, stemming from limited resources, staff shortages, increased patient volumes, and rising levels of acuity,” said Turner. “By using advanced technologies like those found in MEDITECH Expanse, health systems can actually address those challenges by streamlining workflows and putting agentic AI tools in clinicians’ hands.”

Several MEDITECH experts will join Turner in the MEDITECH booth (#115), where attendees can learn more about MEDITECH’s latest AI solutions for nurses. These solutions include AI-assisted nurse handoff and native ambient intelligence to capture nurse interactions into patient assessments.

Turner will follow with a presentation at the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) Inspiring Leaders Conference on March 30 in Chicago, IL. Her presentation, “Leveraging Technology in the Right Places: AI and the Future of Nursing,” will reflect on the integration of AI into nurse workflows to improve efficiency and give nurses more time to focus on what matters most — their patients.

Several MEDITECH customers will also present at AONL, including Bingham Healthcare Chief Nursing Officer Holly Davis, MBA, BSN, FACHDM, and Morris Hospital Chief Nurse Executive and Vice President of Patient Care Services Kimberly Landers, MS, RN, NEA-BC, CENP, FACHE. You can visit the MEDITECH staff at AONL in booth #39.
