Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital (Holland Bloorview) was recently awarded two prestigious Level 6 validations from the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), recognizing its use of digital technology to enhance the outcomes of the families it serves.

Holland Bloorview was recognized with Level 6 validations in the HIMSS Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM) and the HIMSS Adoption Model for Analytics Maturity (AMAM). EMRAM measures clinical outcomes, patient engagement, and clinician use of EHR technology. AMAM measures a healthcare organization's analytics capabilities.

“Holland Bloorview’s successful attainment of both HIMSS Level 6 EMRAM and AMAM validations is a testament to our commitment to improving health care outcomes through data,” says Holland Bloorview CIO Pakizah Kozak. “Our strategic use of technology and analytics, underpinned by teamwork and close collaboration between clinicians and our information management and technology team (IMT), is one we are proud of. The collective efforts, talent, skills, and perspectives of the team have led to this achievement.”

Providing both inpatient and outpatient services, Holland Bloorview focuses on combining world-class care, transformational research, and academic leadership in the field of child and youth rehabilitation and disability.

“Congratulations to Holland Bloorview on this impressive achievement,” said MEDITECH Sales Director Nick Palmieri. “This industry recognition is a testament to their digital sophistication and continued efforts to leverage Expanse in new ways for enhanced outcomes.”
