Brisbane, Australia was recently host to the annual Health Innovation Community conference (HIC 2024). Considered a pivotal event for the digital health community, MEDITECH Asia Pacific proudly participated as a gold sponsor and exhibitor, underscoring its commitment to driving change in healthcare.
The annual HIC event is a gathering of global visionaries united by a common goal to revolutionise healthcare through digital innovation. This year’s theme centered on achieving systemic improvements through the power of shared knowledge, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and a passion for progress.
A major conference highlight was the presentation by Dr John Doulis, Vice President of Informatics and Innovation at HCA Healthcare, the largest private hospital group in America with locations throughout the US and in the UK. During his session, Dr Doulis delved into the critical topic of building a safer healthcare system. He outlined HCA's strategy for enabling transformative change through the clinically-led integration of AI, technology, and data. He emphasised that, when used in tandem, these elements can have a tremendous impact on care delivery and patient outcomes.
Also during the conference, MEDITECH Asia Pacific Managing Director Douglas Murray took part in the Talking HealthTech podcast, where he provided insights into the background of MEDITECH and its achievements. Murray discussed MEDITECH Asia Pacific’s role in the healthcare market in Queensland as well as the company's contributions to advancing digital health initiatives in the region.
Attendees had the opportunity to stop by the MEDITECH booth and meet with Dr Doulis as well as several MEDITECH executives to discuss how our solutions can support the evolving needs of the healthcare sector.
