Accessibility Statement (software)

MEDITECH is committed to ensuring that people with disabilities can use our electronic health record (EHR) effectively. We create applications to support healthcare professionals, as well as to allow patients easy access to their personal health information.

As a company, we target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA to develop MEDITECH’s accessibility standards. In particular, WCAG 2.1 contains success criteria specific to mobile devices, which are important for our growing audience of mobile users. We are committed to continually improving the accessibility and usability of our products, which is a work in progress. Accessibility standards have been applied to the Patient and Consumer Health Portal to ensure all patients can access and manage their health information.

In addition to the aforementioned accessibility standards, we intend to rely on feedback from usability testing among our users.
