The healthcare community gathered recently at the NEC Birmingham for Digital Health Rewired 2026, an event that has officially set the pace for the next decade of the NHS’s digital journey. As the UK’s leading digital health expo, the halls were alive with the energy of NHS leaders, clinicians, and innovators all focused on one goal: advancing a digital-first, people-centered healthcare system.
From high-level national keynotes to deep-dive sessions with the Digital Health Networks, the event served as a vital hub for networking and horizon scanning. While the stages were filled with insights from influential CIOs and CNIOs, the exhibition floor provided a hands-on look at the technology driving real-world benefits during these challenging times.
The MEDITECH UK and Ireland team was at the heart of the action at Stand J50, where the focus was firmly on Expanse, the intelligent EPR. Throughout the two-day event, we showcased how Expanse is doing more than just storing data — it is actively reshaping the clinician experience.
Attendees who visited the stand experienced live demos of our mobile-first design, built specifically to release hours back to the frontline by streamlining documentation and improving real-time visibility. The "road to digital excellence" was a major theme, emphasizing that success isn't just about having an EPR, but having one that empowers clinicians to focus on what matters most: the patient.

This year, MEDITECH brought a unique blend of high-tech and high-impact to the floor. We introduced our two "Expert Consultants," Widget and Glitch. These fan-favorite fluffy Corgi companions found new homes with lucky winners, bringing great joy to their new owners.
