MEDITECH celebrates the achievements of small, rural facilities during National Hospital Week

It’s National Hospital Week — a great time to celebrate the health organizations that support and care for us all!

Some of our most vital hospitals are those small, rural facilities that provide 24/7 emergency care and acute services to remote, often underserved communities. Becker’s Hospital Review recently released a list of the top 100 Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) to know in 2026, which includes over 20 MEDITECH customers, such as:

Bingham Memorial Hospital (Blackfoot, ID) — Cut discharge documentation time by 75% by implementing a proactive population health strategy focused on nurse-led care and smart technology.

Henry County Hospital (Napoleon, OH) — Scored in the 95th percentile overall for EHR physician satisfaction in a 2024 KLAS Arch Collaborative report.

Howard County Medical Center (St. Paul, NE):  — Reduced its self-pay bad debt by 42% and improved community engagement with its integrated EHR and Central Business Office.

Klickitat Valley Health (Goldendale, WA) — Achieved a 400% ROI and recovered over $1 million/year by leveraging AI to automate multiple processes.

Newman Regional Health (Emporia, KS) — Improved sepsis compliance by over 50%, using a multidisciplinary approach to intervention and treatment.

In addition, five MEDITECH customers named by Becker's were recognized as among the top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in the country by both the National Rural Health Association (NRHA) and the Chartis Center for Rural Health:
