NAHC and HHNA Recognize Nation’s Top 50 Home Care & Hospice Nurses
The National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) and the Home Healthcare Nurses Association (HHNA), annually select the top 50 nurses from around the country who go above and beyond to help the patients and families they care for.
Congratulations to the following nurses from the MEDITECH agencies listed below, on being recognized for raising the bar on dedication, compassion, and professionalism in the home care and hospice field.
Barbara Malmberg from Avera at Home in O'Neill, Nebraska
“The population in our state is such that many people live in rural areas far from hospitals, clinics, or pharmacies. It can be difficult to access various services, and that’s part of why I believe quality, dedicated home health care is so important here.”
Terri Anderson from Continuum Home Health in Charlottesville, Virginia
“Because of home health, people are able to stay in their own homes and be cared for by family. I love being a part of the team that helps people have the best quality of life that their condition allows.”
Sharon Williams from Continuum Home Health Care in Charlottesville, Virginia
“Helping one my patient’s adjust to the care routines that enable her to continue her role in her business’ success has been a wonderful experience for both of us, and has reaffirmed to me the power and importance of being a home health nurse.”
Kyla Murray from West Park Hospital Home Health and Spirit Mountain Hospice in Cody, Wyoming
“I have also learned so much from my patients — about the challenges they face and the manner in which they deal with them. As a result, I have become a better nurse.”
