More Providers Sign On for MEDITECH Expanse in 2018
MEDITECH has continued to accelerate its growth in 2018, with more new contracts to implement Expanse, its popular web-based system.
Building on the successful debut of the Expanse EHR earlier this year, MEDITECH has continued to accelerate its growth in 2018, with more new contracts to implement the popular web-based system.
“Over the past year, we’ve seen an overwhelming response from clinicians working in both ambulatory and acute settings. They want technology that will give them a more complete view of a person’s health, while delivering a meaningful, high quality experience for both patients and their providers,” says MEDITECH’s Executive Vice President Helen Waters. “That is what many healthcare leaders need now. And it’s what Expanse was designed to be.”
According to Waters, MEDITECH’s 2018 signings have run the gamut from rural community hospitals to multi-state healthcare networks, including both new customers as well as longtime users of its legacy platforms. Some of MEDITECH's notable signings from the past year include:
Calvary Hospital, based in the greater New York City area, which provides palliative care to adult patients with advanced cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
Mount Nittany Medical, a MEDITECH customer for more than two decades that offers primary, specialized, emergency, and surgical care to residents of central Pennsylvania.
Lima Memorial Health System, an Ohio-based provider that signed for the Expanse “one patient, one record” model and achieved HIMSS Analytics Stage 6 in 2018.
Citizens Memorial Health, winner of the 2018 Missouri Quality Award and another longtime MEDITECH customer, went LIVE with Expanse this year.
Liga Puertorriquena Contra el Cancer, a new MEDITECH signing for short-term acute care, located in Rio Piedras, PR.
Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare, a facility that recently went LIVE with MEDITECH Expanse and live-tweeted their process.
Berkshire Health Systems, a MEDITECH customer since 2000, which will be adding ambulatory and acute care solutions across its 225 physician practices.
Fraser Health Authority, a 450-bed facility in New Westminster, BC signed to implement Expanse at one of its sites.
Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, a 25-year MEDITECH customer that provides long-term care for children with complex health problems.
Saint Rose Hospital, an independent nonprofit community hospital in California that includes more than 300 physicians.
MEDITECH also signed several customers to the new Expanse MEDITECH as a Service (MaaS) subscription-based solution - which provides critical access hospitals with all of the advanced capabilities of our EHR, without having to undertake the costs associated with an implementation. These facilities include Mendocino Coast District Hospital (Fort Bragg, CA), Montgomery General Hospital (Montgomery, WV), and Williamson Memorial Hospital (Williamson, WV).
