MEDITECH Expanse Continues to Generate Excitement in the Industry
MEDITECH's recent momentum continues, signing 35 new hospitals and 32 migrations through the end of the third quarter.
The enthusiasm for MEDITECH Expanse Enterprise Health Record (EHR) continues through 2017. Over several quarters, MEDITECH Expanse has seen thriving momentum, signing 35 new hospitals and 32 migrations through the end of the third quarter.

Colquitt Regional Medical Center (Moultrie, GA)
Colquitt Regional went LIVE with MEDITECH's 6.1 EHR in the summer of 2016. Their existing partnership with MEDITECH, and MEDITECH’s commitment to fiscal responsibility, played a vital role in their decision to add on MEDITECH’s Ambulatory solution. The power of one EHR across their acute and clinic settings will enable physicians to provide high-quality care for residents of Colquitt County and surrounding areas.
“Our physicians and administration were 100 percent in since day one,” Colquitt Regional CIO Bill Bishop said. “The physicians really liked the flexibility of the MEDITECH's Ambulatory solution, and they were a big driver in the decision.”
Onslow Memorial Hospital (OMH) (Jacksonville, NC)
With their recent decision to upgrade to MEDITECH Expanse, OMH is making continual improvements and striving to deliver the best quality healthcare in their community. The 162-bed facility will begin their transition to the new EHR later this year, replacing two other vendor systems in their clinics — providing an even more streamlined physician and patient experience.

Doctors Community Hospital (DCH) (Lanham, MD)
Doctors Community Hospital, a network of medical and surgical services located in Maryland’s Prince George and Anne Arundel Counties, signed to migrate to MEDITECH Expanse, with the project set to kick off this fall.
“Investing in the state-of-the-art MEDITECH Expanse will allow our organization to rise above common obstacles, such as physician burnout and consumer demand,” said DCH CIO and Vice President Joyce Hanscome. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with MEDITECH — reinforcing Doctor's Community Hospital’s commitment to our vision and values.”
Northwestern Medical Center (NMC) (St. Albans, VT)
As an early adopter for MEDITECH's Acute and ED solutions, Northwestern Medical Center’s planning and execution resulted in going LIVE on schedule and within budget. In July, the organization announced it will add the Ambulatory solution to complete their suite.
“We feel it is essential that our clinics, primary care, specialty offices, emergency department, and inpatient services all share the same patient information for accurate, safe diagnosis, treatment, and wellness plans,” said Joel Benware, chief information, innovation and compliance officer at NMC. “We are ready and excited for our next undertaking with MEDITECH’s Ambulatory.”
MEDITECH’s mHealth mobile app will also enable NMC to build a relationship with their patients through improved communication as well as secure, convenient access to patients’ health information.
