MEDITECH Customer Leaders Selected for Baldrige, CHIME Boards
Two MEDITECH customer leaders--influential women in healthcare IT--were recently selected to serve on prestigious industry boards.
Tammy Dye, chief quality officer and vice president of clinical services at Schneck Medical Center (Seymour, IN), was appointed to a three-year term on the Judges’ Panel of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. A longtime MEDITECH customer, Schneck Medical was a Malcolm Baldrige award winner in 2011.
“Our patients deserve the best care we can provide, so “average” is just not good enough,” she says in an interview on Blogrige. “While Baldrige is not as difficult as rocket science, so to speak, delivering excellence will challenge every corner of your organization.”
In addition, Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital (Valencia, CA) Vice President and CIO Cindy Peterson was elected to CHIME’s Board of Trustees. Peterson was recognized for leading significant improvements with the organization-wide implementation of the MEDITECH EHR. She will serve a three-year term starting January 1, 2017.
Recognize these and other women leaders by submitting a nomination for HIMSS’ Women in Health IT award. Applications will be accepted until October 17th.
