MEDITECH joins Canada in celebrating Digital Health Week (Nov 12 - 18). Here are a few of the ways our customers are helping to propel digital health across the country.

South Okanagan General Hospital, part of British Columbia’s Interior Health Authority, is the first of 23 British Columbia facilities to add DrFirst’s MedHx to populate MEDITECH with PharmaNet medication histories, as patients are admitted to the hospital. Since launching MedHx, South Okanagan clinicians can query the medication profiles for all patients entering the hospital, eliminating the need for time-consuming data entry and reconciliation, while simultaneously creating a more accurate medical record.

Several Ontario hospitals have joined together to advance the Ministry of Health's Hospital Information System (HIS) Renewal agenda by consolidating on a single EHR. Together, these organizations have established the SHINE and CHAMP initiatives in Ontario, to integrate their health information systems (HIS) and accelerate the adoption of their MEDITECH Expanse EHR.

Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (Whitby, ON) has achieved improvements in patient satisfaction, engagement, and mental health recovery after implementing MEDITECH’s Patient and Consumer Health Portal. Learn more by downloading our case study.
