Meadows Regional Medical Center to Adopt MEDITECH 6.1, Web Ambulatory

Longtime MEDITECH customer Meadows Regional Medical Center (Vidalia, GA) will be kicking off the fall season with a 6.1 system migration. The Joint Commission-accredited, 122-bed facility will be adding Critical Care, Web Ambulatory, Surgical Services and BCA to its EHR in September, as they continue to keep patients at the center of their initiatives.

“Becoming a MEDITECH 6.1 customer means we will be able to take care of our patients and provide them with a better experience,” says Stephen Smesny, director of information services and HIPAA security officer at Meadows Regional Medical Center.

“We want to give our providers the tools they need to easily and effectively take care of patients.  We need those tools to be fully integrated in order to streamline patient flow throughout the continuum of care,” he adds. “MEDITECH 6.1 will give us that capability and help us to achieve our mission of providing quality healthcare.”
