MEDITECH customers have expanded their presence on Hospitals and Health Networks’ (H&HN) annual Most Wired list, with 74 making the grade this year, compared to 59 in 2016. MEDITECH is one of the top three EHR vendors represented on the 2017 list and is the #1 vendor in Most Wired’s Small and Rural Hospitals subcategory.

Of this year’s honorees, almost half have implemented our 6.x platform. Longtime customer HCA Healthcare (Nashville, TN) once again has been named to the Most Wired list, with 171 hospitals in total. Third largest Avera Health (Sioux Falls, SD) has also been named Most Wired Advanced, a distinction awarded this year to 27 organizations achieving high scores in all focus areas.

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth (Plymouth, MA) is one of just nine healthcare organizations in Massachusetts to be recognized this year.

“Receiving Most Wired status demonstrates the commitment of BID-Plymouth to implement and use advanced technology throughout the hospital to support our commitment of providing patients with outstanding care,” says Beth Israel’s CIO Ron Rutherford, RN, in their recent press release. “Most Wired status reflects the priorities and values of the BID-Plymouth Information Services Team who utilize their expertise every day to promote the safe and effective utilization of technology for all.”

The Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study recognizes healthcare organizations that have demonstrated excellence in their use of information technology to improve clinical integration, quality, and safety. Visit H&HN’s website for the full list.
