As just the second hospital to adopt MEDITECH 6.13, migrating from MAGIC 5.64, Union Hospital credits part of its success to the use of a specific training model for a medium-sized rural community hospital transitioning to a new EHR.This training model was the foundation to meeting the organization’s objective to transition to a new EHR without jeopardizing quality patient care. The model was essential to develop and validate clinician competency to use the new system. And, as an added bonus, the training program helped Union achieve the Excellence in Practice Award.
