As a Revenue Cycle Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be joining a dynamic MEDITECH Professional Services team, working with clients to implement, upgrade or optimize the MEDITECH EHR to gain the highest level of adoption and return on investment. You will be using your revenue cycle skills to advise and guide customers on how to implement and use a well engineered, integrated system to its fullest potential.  As a member of our Revenue Cycle Subject Matter Expert team, your job will involve:

  • Providing perspective and guidance on workflows, gaps, and department utilization

  • Understanding and contributing to the department's business/clinical workflow requirements

  • Participating with department staff, IT staff, and outside vendors in discussions involving the system which will have an impact on workflow, productivity, and end user functionality

  • Serving as liaison to the IT department, project managers, and implementation staff

  • Primary contact to whom the IT department and project managers can communicate with directly.

  • Increasing use of the system and providing quality outcomes for the workflow changes in the new system

  • Assisting in the comprehension and build of the new system. The SME will provide guidance and assistance with the dictionary build. This critical project initiative will allow a comprehensive and efficient use of the Revenue Cycle applications

  • Travelling 80-90% of the time anywhere within the United States and Canada.

What You Should Have
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or 4 + years of Revenue Cycle experience

  • Working Knowledge of MEDITECH Revenue Cycle applications: Registration, Abstracting, Scheduling, Billing Accounts Receivable and integration with clinical applications

  • Deep understanding of dictionary integration across applications and building processes during the implementation of full EHR

  • Deep knowledge of how those applications are used in healthcare clinical financial areas

  • Revenue Cycle expertise during multiple MEDITECH Implementations, preferably 6.x or Expanse 

  • MEDITECH READY certified, working as a member or in partnership with a MEDITECH certified firm

  • Experience in at least one or more of the following healthcare areas:

    • Health Information Management – experience with all aspects of medical record-keeping. such as chart completion, deficiencies, release of information, corrections, etc.

    • Charge Services – experience in the full revenue cycle, medical coding and billing operations.

    • Patient Registration – experience with all aspects of patient registration, insurance information collection/validation, proactive registration monitoring and correction

    • Scheduling and Appointing - experience with clinic-level and enterprise-level scheduling and appointing including patient direct appointing via patient portals or similar tools

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

  • Hold a valid driver’s license.
