Account Managers at MEDITECH are the primary point of contact for our healthcare customers and are responsible for facilitating and managing relationships between the customer, application, and technical support and sales. Through partnership, collaboration, and passion, you will assist healthcare customers in defining, prioritizing, and achieving their goals to experience the most value with their MEDITECH solution.  With strong problem-solving skills and organizational awareness, you will work to ensure a positive customer experience by assisting other MEDITECH divisions in understanding strategic initiatives that will drive and ensure customer success. As a member of our Client Services team, your job would involve:

 

  • Taking a leadership role at MEDITECH and assuming responsibility for the overall satisfaction and retention of the healthcare customer

  • Understanding MEDITECH's goals, solutions and initiatives in order to effectively communicate that information to the healthcare client

  • Establishing, developing, and maintaining relationships with C-level decision makers at assigned sites

  • Engaging with and visiting each customer to be aware of the healthcare organization’s strategic planning and to ensure MEDITECH can support those strategic initiatives and long term plans

  • Collaborating with customers on project planning and helping the customer define organizational priorities, goals, and objectives

  • Exhibiting a thorough understanding of the customer's strategic direction, needs, and organizational structure and communicating that information to MEDITECH staff

  • Attending specific strategic planning sessions, corporate visits and appropriate optimization visits or physician advisory meetings

  • For software projects and updates, working with MEDITECH project management staff to ensure project deliverables and milestones are met, resources are assigned and issues are addressed

  • Assisting with the planning of regular updates both internally and externally with the healthcare organization

  • Assisting in the progress of client communication on escalated issues across all clinical, financial and administrative applications for all divisions (Client Services, Technical, Sales and Development)

  • Collaborating with other groups and divisions across MEDITECH on the development of customer communication materials and tools for key initiatives

  • Traveling 25-30% of the time, anywhere within the United States and Canada

What You Should Have
  • Bachelor's or associate degree preferred and/or 2-3 years of applicable work or military experience

  • Account management skills required to develop, maintain and enhance customer relationships

  • Exceptional project management and organization skills (project management certification a plus)

  • Working knowledge of healthcare industry practices and ability to articulate them to both customer and MEDITECH

  • Basic understanding of software architecture and hardware requirements

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to learn new support tools and incorporate them into client support

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team, and foster strong positive relationships

  • Ability to interact with and achieve support from other groups within MEDITECH 

  • High level of initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision
